About Us
Statement of Faith
The Called Conference was established in 2025 through the collaborative efforts of Bryan and Bonnie Pue (The Union Movement) and Kyla Gillespie (Renewed & Transformed). Although we had each been living and ministering in British Columbia's Lower Mainland for years, our paths didn't cross until 2023. They quickly became friends, and were able to encourage one another in their respective ministries.
Both ministries share a clear mandate to equip local churches with gospel-centred teaching on sexuality, gender, identity, and relationships. As we began serving together, we discovered a natural partnership in hosting The Called Conference and have been grateful to also invite other trusted voices into the space with us each year.
Our desire is to see local church communities ready, willing and equipped to walk with people out of sexual brokenness and shame, into freedom and redemption.
Our Distinctives
- We believe the Word of God has ultimate authority in the lives of Jesus-followers.
- We are convinced that life transformation can and will happen through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and His presence in our lives.
- We believe that the discipleship process in the local church context is essential for believers to grow in maturity, and this includes our sexuality.
